Ngano Cebu man?
Ngano naa man mi dri Cebu, na gikan man mi Samar? Why did my family chose Cebu? Here are the reasons why: 1.) Way bagyo, compared to Samar na duol sa Pacific Ocean. The fact that it’s “central visayas”, typhoons can hardly reach Cebu coz it’s protected by some islands surrounding it. 2.) Universities. Starting from my oldest sibling, we slowly migrated here for our...

SECOND HOME
It started with a phone call from a company, I got interviewed and luckily I got the job. It was not an easy decision to take the job, besides from the fact that I am used to live with my parents, I don’t have any relatives or friends living in Cebu. But as unbelievable as it may seem, I am living here for almost three years already and for that span of time, I can totally say that this is...

A Writer Smitten by Cebu
Cebu. I first came here way back half of the nineties at the height of my advertising career. I was handling what used to be Isla Communications Company, a.k.a Islacom. During those times, I think, there were no advertising agencies in Cebu that companies based here would have to hire agencies from Manila. Those were weekend trips from Manila to Cebu to supervise events and sales blitz at SM...

Kapampangan in Cebu
It’s been 1 year 8 months and 21 days to be exact since I moved here in Cebu and that is because of work. On my first week in Cebu, I already fell in love with the city. I just love the city life and yet it is laid back, the cost of living is not that high and the people are very friendly. As an alien from Angeles City, Pampanga, I was already living in an urban jungle, but Cebu is on a...

I’m an Ilongga in Cebu. I’ve been a victim of injustice here in 032 but I stayed because, borrowing from Rihanna, “I found love” in a hopeful place. - uronlysunshine
Really? Romantic love? haha! :P

Moving on
it wasnt much of a right to choose cebu, but more of an acceptance to be assigned here. work beckons to be assigned any part of PH, and that comes with a lot denial, frustrations, longing and all the other emotions attached to separation. i grew up in manila, now 28, moved to cebu just last june and it was a roller coster of emotions having to leave everything behind. it wasnt easy, the language...

Why Cebu? Let me count the reasons.
You know you’ve gone on a special place when you know you can never leave it. And that’s what I feel for Cebu. Coming from another province, I have already considered this as my second home and have loved it as much as how I love my own. So let me count three reasons why.
Cebu has its own way of telling you of its beauty. The Cebuano language for instance has captivated my...

Everything is near, everything is different. People have unity and you’ll love to unite with them. People are always there for you and you’ll love to be with them. It’s a place for dreamers who wants to achieve their dreams. It’s for people like me who wants more fun and the most interesting part of loving Cebu is because it is the home of my beloved child Jesus.

Not from Cebu, but you live here? Tell us why :)
One of the things you’ll notice in cebu, is that there’s a multitude of “non-locals” settling in the island. And I’m not even talking about the foreigners - that’s a given. Poking around different businesses, establishments and. well, everywhere really, are folks from Luzon deciding to stay permanently in Cebu. It’s not hard to assume that they’re...

CEBU CITY — Another drive-by shooting victimized a teenager and his 24-year-old companion Sunday dawn.

The victims, however, said the assailants boarded a brown sedan.

The Wolf: I really don't get some people who have... →
ellobofilipino:
On the jeepney ride home earlier, I noticed a bunch of students who were talking about how their day went. And they were all laughing about the funny episodes they had. Suddenly one of them started blurting out something about how funny Cebuanos talk in Tagalog with their accents.
Faking a…
