musingsoflifeofone: I am home for summer break and I couldn’t ask for anything more. Being with family rejuvenates me and somehow makes all the trials of the past year seem frivolous. I do understand that challenges shape us and build character and I can say that I am a better person than I was a year ago, even two years ago. Family though is an assurance that everything is alright, that no matter what happens I have somewhere and I have people who will accept me no matter what and envelop me in warmth until I can rise again - higher. Thank God for family! I took the photo above on 02 July 2012 in Cebu City. I was driving along V. Rama Avenue and had to stop on the corner of N. Bacalso Street. This calesa was right beside me and I just had to take a photo. No matter how advanced in technology the mode of transportation is, some things remain the same like the calesa and it’s been ages since I’ve been on one!
